Job Title: Consultant Pediatric Neurologist
Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate consultant pediatric neurologist to join our distinguished medical team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in diagnosing, treating, and managing neurological disorders in children from infancy through adolescence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Care: Provide expert consultation, diagnosis, and treatment for a wide array of pediatric neurological conditions, including epilepsy, cerebral palsy, neuromuscular disorders, and neurogenetic conditions.
- Patient Management: Develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patients’ needs, ensuring a holistic approach to treatment that encompasses medical, social, and psychological support.
- Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including pediatricians, nurses, physical therapists, and social workers, to deliver integrated and coordinated care.
- Research and Education: Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in pediatric neurology. Engage in clinical research and contribute to the academic environment by teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Community Outreach: Participate in community education initiatives to raise awareness of pediatric neurological conditions and promote early diagnosis and intervention.
- Compliance and Ethics: Ensure that all clinical practices comply with hospital policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in pediatric neurology.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pediatric neurology.
- Valid medical license to practice in the United Arab Emirates.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with advanced diagnostic and therapeutic techniques.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Must be Western-trained
