Job Summary: A reputable healthcare institution in Sharjah is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Histopathologist to join their advanced pathology department. The ideal candidate will specialize in diagnosing diseases through the examination of tissue samples, utilizing cutting-edge laboratory techniques. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed microscopic analysis of tissue samples to identify abnormalities and diagnose diseases.
- Utilize advanced techniques such as immunohistochemistry, molecular pathology, and special staining methods.
- Collaborate with clinicians and other medical specialists to provide diagnostic insights that guide patient treatment plans.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of specimens in compliance with laboratory safety protocols.
- Participate in quality assurance programs and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
- Mentor and supervise laboratory staff, fostering professional growth and ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Stay updated on advancements in histopathology and integrate evidence-based methods into laboratory operations.
- Contribute to clinical research and the development of innovative diagnostic techniques.
- Ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations and uphold the highest standards of patient care and laboratory safety.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with specialization in Histopathology from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Histopathology (e.g., American Board of Pathology or Royal College of Pathologists).
- Mandatory Western education and/or training (e.g., USA, UK, Canada, or equivalent).
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Consultant Histopathologist in a reputable healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in advanced diagnostic techniques and laboratory management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Eligibility for MOH licensing to practice in Sharjah.
